To Croatia

Well I am on the move to Dalmatian Coast. Haven’t been there since bro and I tried to hitch hike in a country where you had to petition the state to buy a car. We only got one ride the whole time sharing the back with a slaughtered sheep.

There was a lot of frustration getting checked in online and I never succeeded. I finally took my first two flights getting me from Guadalajara to Chicago. But had no boarding pass from Chicago to Berlin and then on to Munich

I made it make sense in my brain although it didnt

.In Chicago American Airlines has a shuttle to the international terminal but you have to show a boarding pass as it is behind the terminal already passed security

Which I  didn’t have. Somehow I dazzled the shuttle guard with locator codes and IDs until she let me go anyway

I asked a TSA agent where Air Berlin was and she asked to see my boarding pass. I dont have one. You have to have one to get in here. (Maybe she didn’t  notice me standing there). She didn’t arrest me

I wandered around looking for Air Berlin and there was no listing on the departures board. Because 3 days ago Air Berlin went bankrupt.  So there I was no boarding pass.  No reservation. No servuce desk. Air Berlin had become a ghost. Bupkiss.

I got the idea to talk to British Airways since Air Berlin was  part of One World alliance.  For an hour the BA agent tried to do a BAdeal for me but no dice

Finally she callef CORPORATE HQ for Air Berlin and  actually got me a direct flight.

But I ask  what happens to less tenacious travelers who get marooned in a bankruptcy. And where was the notification to ticket holders that they were soon to be stranded?
