- Somehow I don’t think this ever got published while on Naoshima
Thought I would end for now with a gallery of pictures of the island which is lovely and lush and quaint. Most of the outdoor sculptures are near the Benesee house museum where I am staying in a beautiful room overlooking the sea. This expensive accommodation is the only choice other than the earlier guest house with 12 people sharing a shower. I can’t seem to find anything in between but maybe that stops the island from being mobbed.
So comes the gallery requested by my brother Carey. I tried to show you where the sculptures live in their natural settings and took multiple pictures of each. My favorite is the jacuzzi living among the stonehenge monoliths. I dated Dante Jacuzzi in high school He died but I am sure he is smiling to see his name on an art installation in Naoshima.
