Khiva

Khiva is home to a immense fortress set up to keep out the Mongols in the 13th Century. I am going to give you some lovely pictures because I think it is actually more impressive than the Alhambra in Cordoba, Spain.  Mexicans would feel right at home here because everything is mosaics from floor to ceiling, especially in the mausoleums of famous people buried within the fortress.
