Mexico Meets Istanbul

When I moved to Mexico 12 years ago we encountered a wonderful artist whose work was sculptures of acrobats and athletes in mid-balance. It was so artfully conceived with a diver in mid-air or an acrobat balanced on a ball. Over time he became more and more famous, eventually exhibited all over Mexico city.  I wanted to buy a statue as it was 10,000 dollars at the time and we were flush with funds from selling the house in Spain.  I thought it would be so beautiful in a garden, and so tranquil.

So I was so happy and proud to walk into the airport and see his work. The best part, although I am in no way a fan of this, was that people were taking selfies with the works.  So I was really chuffed !! (British for happy)
