Every step you take puts you in a mess. Because you have to continuously pass through a haze of tobacco. People smoking in doorways of labrynthian streets. Tour operators sitting in phone booth-sized office SMOKING. People smoking in restaurants, parks, hitrl lobbies.
PHONE refuses to call. Mobs and mobs of tourists. 40 years ago no one had heard of this place now there is a desperation in the effort to have fun by eating drinking shopping. A strange compulsive consumerism permeates the beautiful stone city (Game of Thrones is filmed here) The cultural venues are empty I will remove myself to aesthetic pleasures tomorrow to soothe my soul
But you gotta love a town with a trash bin named . . .
