I didn’t really think I would be adding anything to our travel together for this trip. I skipped Malta and Sicily because besides the marijuana vending machine not much new. BUT . . As you know I think that the act of movie -going tells something about the culture. So I went to the movies in Bogota
First pleasant surprise the snack bar holds an array of booze, so much for the nasty sodas. There are freshly made milk or water fruit juices (I had blueberry). I paid $1.50 more to sit in the VIP section which put me in row 7 instead of row 6. There were really big, comfortable vinyl covered (can’t find the dash on the portable keyboard which I am using to type on my phone) easy chairs, for giants. My feet did not touch the ground and when I skootched back to sit up straight I found the chairs had a slight incline causing me to slide forward right into the aisle where my legs turned into newborn giraffes legs and I had to untangle by gracefully sticking my bum straight up into the air (luckily no one was beside me to take the full brunt of that view)
I ended up watching the movie with my legs draped sideways on the seat. Popcorn and the blueberry whatever it was was delivered to me in the movie, No talking by anyone and no cell phones (unlike Mexico). No adds!! Just a lovely little short film before the new Fakir movie which is a laugh riot.
So my first cultural impressions, adaptable culture for booze hounds and healthies. Courteous. Helpful. They laugh at my jokes, Spanish is easily understandable. So I might actually take you all along with me. Check in
